Val has been on the TPSM BOD since 2015. The objective of the Turning Point Suffragist Memorial Association (TPSMA) is to educate, inspire and empower present and future generations to remain vigilant in the quest for liberty, freedom and equal rights. Education is the driving force behind everything to which the association aspires. How will we do it? By building a memorial to commemorate and honor those who fought for seven decades to enfranchise all American women, establishing the Turning Point Institute and developing a Constitution Trail in collaboration with numerous historical sites germane to our ever-evolving Constitution.

Valerie was elected to New York Life Insurance Company’s Agents Advisory Council (AAC) for 2014, serving as Associate Chairperson on the Agency Support Committee and for 2015, she was elected by her peers to serve on the Executive Committee. Founded in 1946, the AAC is a prominent group of 24 New York Life Agents elected by their peers to communicate the issues and perspectives of their fellow Agents working in tandem with senior management for their mutual benefit. The AAC's objectives are to work with the Home Office senior management in a partnership characterized by openness and empathy; to provide Field perspective on ways to improve products, services and programs; and to serve as a sounding board for new initiatives. The AAC will continue to strive to make New York Life the best it can be and to create an environment in which everyone benefits - the Home Office, Agents, Field management, and most of all our policyholders.
